Three bridges connecting Louisville, Kentucky and Southern Indiana are tolled: the I-65 Lincoln and Kennedy bridges and the SR 265/KY 841 Lewis and Clark Bridge.
RiverLink is all-electronic tolling, which means no slowing, no stopping and no lines. Drivers with prepaid accounts and transponders pay the lowest toll rates.
Already Have An E-ZPass?
If you have an E-ZPass transponder and an account in good standing, you’ll pay the lowest toll rates. All E-ZPass transponders, including I-Pass, are accepted.
Pay The Lowest Toll Rates
You have several options to save money on your crossings:
1. RiverLink Prepaid Account And Transponder
Sign up for a RiverLink account, deposit at least $20 and request a transponder. Options include a local transponder (free) or an E-ZPass that can be used in several states ($15). With both types of transponders, you’ll save $2 per crossing, even if your transponder doesn’t arrive before your trip. If you close your account later, any unused funds will be returned to you.
2. Prepaid Account And License Plate Registered With RiverLink
Sign up for a RiverLink account, deposit at least $20 and enter your license plate number. You’ll save $1 per crossing. If you close your account later, any unused funds will be returned to you.
3. RiverLink Starter Kit From A Retail Location
RiverLink starter kits are available at selected retail locations in Kentucky and Indiana. Kits include a prepaid transponder that is ready to use on any of the three Louisville–Southern Indiana Ohio River tolled bridges, plus a reload card that can be used to add money to the transponder at participating locations. The minimum balance to load and reload a prepaid transponder is $20.
For drivers who don’t take advantage of one of these options, cameras capture license plates and invoices are mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle. It could take several weeks to receive an invoice. The first invoice is only for tolls owed.
Another option is to use one of the Non-Tolled Alternatives.
